Timothy Stephen a filmmaker of KadazanDusun and Siamese descent, hold a Bachelor’s Degree In Film and Video (Cinematography) from ASWARA. Based in Sabah, he has built a career in television and film production, working primarily as a cinematographer. His directorial debut ‘SINAKAGON’, is Malaysia’s first Dusun language feature film, which explores indigenous culture through the legend Huminodun. Timothy is dedicated to promoting KadazanDusun and Siam cultural stories through his work. SINAKAGON earned him international recognition, winning the Best First Time Director award at the Milan Independent Awards and becoming a finalist at the Prisma Rome Independent Awards.
